• Account info — your name, email, and password (stored securely by our auth provider).
• Content you create — family trees and people, posts, comments, messages, photos, events, and groups.
• Photos & media — images you upload for galleries, posts, avatars, and banners.
• Approximate location — only place names/coordinates you add to people or the map; we do not track your device location in the background.
• Device/push tokens — a notification token so we can deliver push notifications you opt into.
• Usage data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

To provide and improve the app's features (trees, chat, feed, photos, events), authenticate you, deliver notifications you enable, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing & visibility

Content is shared only as you direct — with your family connections, specific people, groups, or via links you choose to make public. We use service providers (Supabase for database/storage/auth, Stream for chat, Firebase for push notifications) that process data on our behalf to run the app.

Your choices

• Edit or delete your posts, messages, photos, and trees in the app.
• Turn notifications on or off in your device and profile settings.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.

Data retention & security

We keep your data while your account is active and remove it on deletion, subject to legal requirements. Data is protected with industry-standard measures including encryption in transit and access controls.

Children

The app is intended for adults managing family information. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children without a parent or guardian.
